CLEARANCE TESTER

The Clearance Tester for helmets consists of a rigid metal frame in which the helmet under test can be placed while mounted on a suitable wooden headform, a screw-operated arrangement to apply a force of either 10 kg or 120 N with the help of dead weights on top of the helmet under test, and a rod of about 9 mm diameter which passes through the loading screw and rests on top of the wooden headform after passing through a hole drilled in the helmet.
