Helmet shall consist of a rotating turntable on which the head-form can be placed with its crown facing down, can be mounted for placing the helmet under test on a burner mounted on a swayable stand such that it can be made vertical for setting of flame height and horizontal or inclined to enable the flame to strike the helmet right angle or at the an inclination of 45 to its outer surface, and an arrangement to move the burner in a horizontal direction to change its distance from the outer surface of the helmet manually during the duration of the test.
