KUBELKA TESTER

The Kubelka Apparatus is a glass apparatus having a bulb of approximately 60 ml capacity connected to a cylinder through a 10 mm diameter glass tube. The glass tube is graduated to indicate the volume of water in the bulb directly. The test specimen is kept over raised pegs in the cylindrical portion of the apparatus to enable it to be wetted from both sides. A stainless steel pin is attached to the rubber stopper of the apparatus to keep the test specimen pressed against the pegs and to prevent it from slipping.
